Chris Lackey has co-written, illustrated and directed a number of successful animated shorts:
Party From Beyond, a comedy series that takes place at a shindig on the corner of space and time, found a home on AtomFilms.com, introducing the characters of Lou and his giant cockroach buddy to the Web-cruising public.
The Investigators, a horror series set in the macabre world of author H.P. Lovecraft, has found critical acclaim in a variety of film and video festivals, and was nominated for Best Internet Video Premiere at the DVD Premiere Awards.
Chris also co-created a series of “webisodes” for Burger King, designing a new mascot for the restaurant’s Web site, and using the dry humor and tone of Party From Beyond to sell delicious, flame-broiled Whopper sandwiches.
Recently, Chris and Chad have been busy with a number of screenwriting projects for film and television. These include a horror film to be produced by Donnie Darko writer/director Richard Kelly and producer Sean McKittrick, a science fiction documentary series and a Lovecraft-inspired graphic novel called Deadbeats. Speaking of Lovecraft, the two have also recently enjoyed the success of Andrew Leman's silent film adaptation of Lovecraft's best-known work, The Call of Cthulhu, for which Lackey acted as Associate Producer, Fifer provided selected music, and in which both appear as actors..
