An aspiring actress, Rachel got her big break portraying first officer Jenny Curack on the syndicated sci-fi show, Space Voyage. Rachel’s character is from an alien race that has descended from parrots, and as such can only mimic real human emotions. Unfortunately, Rachel hates her part, the show, and especially the fans.
Coincidentally, one of the show’s most rabid fans is Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, Lou. While Lou’s childishness was a turn-on for Rachel in college, she quickly grew tired of him as she advanced in her career and has recently dumped him. Rachel is currently in a serious relationship with Rick, an entertainment lawyer. Although she’s still fond of Lou, she wishes he’d leave her alone.
